Teresa D Harper was elected Judge of the Monroe Circuit Court in 2006; she presides over criminal cases and is the presiding judge of the Monroe Circuit Courts. Previously, she clerked for the Indiana Supreme Court Chief Justice, Richard M. Givan; served as the Assistant Chief Deputy of the Indiana State Public Defender’s Office; served as the Director of Training for the Indiana Public Defender Council and designed and directed legal training for the National Legal Aid and Defender Organization and the National Consortium for Death Penalty Training while in private practice.
