The Marvin W. Dexter Scholarship is given in remembrance of Marvin Dexter, who completed his Indiana State Police Academy training at Indiana University and subsequently served 27 years as an Indiana State Trooper, and whose life embodied our departmental mission to educate and empower students in service to the community, social justice, and fairness. First generation college students who are pursuing the BA in Criminal Justice at the Indiana University - Bloomington campus are eligible.

Applications for the Dexter Scholarship open in the Spring semester for awarding in the following school year. Applications are submitted through the IU Scholarship app in One.IU.edu.
