Steve Presson joins the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice after a career in policing and law. His career started as a Police Officer & Detective in Oklahoma. After receiving his law degree, Steve worked in private practice and held several government positions, most recently as a Staff Attorney with the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana. He was an Instructor and Clinical Staff Attorney at the University of Oklahoma College of Law Legal Aid Clinic and an Adjunct Professor of Appellate Advocacy at the Oklahoma City University College of Law. He is admitted to practice law in Indiana, Oklahoma, and Texas, as well as numerous federal district and appellate courts and the United States Supreme Court.
Steve is married to an IU alum, also a lawyer, and they have two sons. They live in Indianapolis.
