Dr. Jennifer O’Neill is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Indiana University –Bloomington. She received her PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Missouri—St. Louis in 2021. Jennifer’s primary research interests include developing criminological theory, specifically focusing on rational choice and symbolic interactionist perspectives, as well as investigating the connections between school experiences, adolescent socialization, and delinquent behavior. For example, her recent work has focused on adolescent legal socialization within the context of the convergence of education and criminal justice institutions.
