First 4+1 Pathway Program Graduate

Friday, May 3, 2024

Congraulations to Piper Majors!  Piper was the department's first graduate of the 4+1 Pathway Program and received her Master of Arts in Criminal Justice at the May commencement. Joined here by Dr. Northcutt Bohmert, Director of Graduate Studies.

Piper was the first student admitted into the 4+1 Pathway Program in 2021.  While working on her undergraduate degree, Piper also took graduate classes towards her master's degree.  She completed her studies with a paper titled, "Drug Screen Requirements for Probationers with Addictions."

The 4+1 Pathway Program has grown a lot since Piper started and currently has 18 students in the undergraduate or graduate stage of the program.  Students are admitted to the program during their sophomore year.
