Indiana Innocence Project Launch

On August 17th, 2024, the Indiana Innocence Project was launched. Our faculty member, Dr. Marla Sandys, is one of the founding members of the organization and serves as the Secretary of the board.

Dr. Marla Sandys is an Associate Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Indiana University - Bloomington. Dr. Sandys received her Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Sandys also works with colleagues at the McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis who run the Wrongful Conviction Clinic that is designed to assist in the release from prison of persons wrongfully convicted.
