Dr. Tri Keah Henry Awarded the Dorothy Bracey/Janice Joseph Minority and Women New Scholar Award

Dr. Tri Keah Henry

Dr. Tri Keah Henry has been awarded the Dorothy Bracey/Janice Joseph Minority and Women New Scholar Award by the American Society of Criminal Justice (ACJS). This award is presented to recognize outstanding academic contributions by new minority and female scholars in honor of the first female and racial minority ACJS Presidents.

Dr. Tri Keah S. Henry is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Indiana University – Bloomington. She is an Alumni of Baylor University and earned her PhD in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Sam Houston State University. Dr. Henry’s research examines the effects of extralegal factors on discretionary decision-making during case processing. Specifically, her work highlights procedural processes in policing and distributive outcomes in sentencing, giving special attention to the influence of race and gender in these contexts.
